I am driving a ford transit from 2008 and i keep getting a door open signal from the sliding door when i drive over bumpers or around curves even though the door is closed.
Ford transit connect door open sensor.
On my transit the light on the dash is saying that there is a door open but i have slammed all the doors shut.
Can you please help.
The ford transit side door opening sensor is ford s original product.
When i lock the doors with the light on it closes but the lights stay on and the horn goes off.
But it is still saying there is a door open also when i try too lock it the horn goes off to indicate that there is a door open but all the doors still lock.
The door ajar light is on all of the time but no audible alarm is sounded when driving.
Where are the door ajar switches on this vehicle with automatic door locks.
Also coinciding with the door open light staying on the 8mph safety locks do not actuate.
This suggests to me that the front door sensor is faulty.
If i open the right front door chances are pretty darn good the van won t lock when i close the door at least not until i ve slammed the right door a few times.

The side door closing opening sensor operates on a very simple principle.
There must be a sensor on the rear door so the van knows when the doors are closed the only thing i can think of while giving me such problems where is it located so i can check it out so i have to really slam the doors to get them to lock literally had it this afternoon where the dash was saying that the doors were open.
99 9 of the time the culprit is the right front door itself.
There seem to be at least 5 one on the left drivers door one on the passenger door one for the left sliding door one for the right sliding door and one for the rear door.
The interior light would stay on if left in the normal position.

The door closing sensor fits perfectly on the right side and on the left side rh lh.
