Ford transit sliding door won t lock.

The sliding door won t open using the key fob. Now will not respond to even a hard door slam and vehicle with 8 000 in stock and parts is not lockable. The van locks securely and with the dead lock feature working as well. I tend to lock mine then double lock it then use the bottom button to unlock the back only.

I had to take out the lock to repair and decided to show whats happening when rotary knob gets stuck. Removed mechanism and fitted new mechanism to side door still wont lock have you any advice wiring seems ok. I decided to sit in the back and close the sliding door and lock the van. I have managed to get into the rear of the transit like houdini and manage to unlock the black knob on the inside of the sliding door.

I have put this down to a knackered electric block in the drivers door a blue block. 2011 transit connect will not allow me to lock the doors anymore. I can be there for ages sometimes just trying to get in my side door. The sliding door on my 2008 van won t open.

I hit the central locking button on the key and seem to be able to hear the release clicking but cannot open the door. In my case i could have probably unhooked the yellow. Interior lights and door ajar light required extra slamming of drivers door to go out for several weeks. I have a similar problem in my ford focus when locking using the central locking fob door all doors will lock and then immediately reopen.
